Red Sage Continues to Grow Team, Adding More Specialized Roles to Integrated Agency
Red Sage Communications, Inc. has hired Lisa Battles as Web Project Specialist, Sharla Horton as Social Media Specialist, and Alison Montebello as Account Coordinator.
Battles brings more than two decades of experience in strategic communications, content development, and project management in print and web media. Her background includes 13 years of print and digital content development for economic development and destination marketing organizations across the country, public relations in national sports and health care, and award-winning journalism in community newspapers.
A journalism graduate of Auburn University, Battles is a Decatur native who recently made her hometown home again after living in Nashville for many years.

It’s clear they prioritize exceeding clients’ expectations with thoughtful, quality work and service,” Battles said. “It also is really neat to be part of a company that cares about and is so active in our community, especially since it’s such an exciting time of growth in our region.”
Horton worked at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville for 15 years as the Social Media Strategist. At the Rocket Center, she managed social media campaigns with global audiences. Horton was also the Sales and Communications Manager, where she marketed and sold more than $3 million in Space Camp programs. She has been a featured speaker at many marketing events, including North Alabama PRCA’s Big Marketing Event.
Horton is a native of Russellville, Alabama, and she attended the University of North Alabama and Birmingham School of Law.
Horton shared, “I truly enjoy the variety of projects I am able to work on at Red Sage. From our healthcare to military and defense partners, it’s such an exciting opportunity to share their stories and mission on social platforms.”
Since graduating from Auburn University in 2016, Montebello has held marketing and public relations roles in various industries. Her unique experience has provided her with diverse marketing knowledge and the ability to adapt and learn quickly. Over the years, Montebello has worked in B2B and B2C marketing and has led rebranding, marketing strategy, and content creation initiatives.
At Auburn University, Montebello graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and a minor in Business.
