Red Sage Growth Fuels Expanded Management Circle

Huntsville & Decatur, AL – Red Sage Communications is excited to name August McCoy as Creative Director and Michael Jones as Director of Client Services.  These two hires represent the beginning of a new era in the agency, with an expanded leadership circle driving results for clients.

McCoy takes the Creative Director reigns from agency Founder and President Ellen Didier. With decades of experience in the field, McCoy will utilize his wealth of knowledge and expertise to lead Red Sage’s creative team of multimedia designers, website developers, and technical experts.  He will also lead priority creative initiatives with a focus on user experience (UX) and lifecycle marketing engagement.

Didier praised her successor, noting, “August is known for his ability to think outside the box and his passion for pushing the boundaries of design.  His approach to creativity is deeply rooted in strategy and is focused on delivering measurable results for our clients.”

Prior to joining Red Sage, McCoy served as the Creative Director at Amplience and OSG, Art Director at WhatCounts and Windsor Circle, as well as Web Designer for The Body Shop, L’Oreal.

McCoy earned his M.A. in Visual Communication Design from Liberty University, his B.A. in Graphic Design & Media Arts from Southern New Hampshire University, and studied Visual Communication at Kennesaw State University.

August’s appointment comes as Red Sage continues to expand its creative offerings and grow its client base. He will be instrumental in driving the agency’s success in the years to come as a visually-oriented communicator who directs end-to-end brand experiences that motivate, inspire, and inform. His approach to creativity is deeply rooted in strategy and focuses on delivering measurable client results.

As the agency’s first Director of Client Services, Michael Jones will enhance the client experience and reinforce quality for Red Sage partners, leading the accounts team in the development of goals-aligned strategies.  He will also incorporate emerging best practices to continually improve productivity and results.

Jones has proven throughout his decades-long career that he is dedicated to client service by delivering specialized marketing and communications expertise to organizations across the United States in professional services, government, architecture, software, oil and gas, and more. “Red Sage has built lasting relationships across North Alabama,” said Jones. I look forward to working with our current and potential customers to see what creative projects we can develop together.”

Outside of Red Sage, Michael has positively impacted the North Alabama community through his involvement in the Public Relations Council of Alabama’s North Alabama chapter (NAPRCA). Michael became a Part 107 FAA Certified Drone Pilot in 2022.  Before 2018, Michael was based in Houston, Texas, honing his marketing and communications capabilities for a broad range of professional service organizations.
